1947 : Buckminster Fuller stands for science fiction made into real architecture. The structural perfection of his geodesic dome suits it to all kinds of shelters, from tents to expo pavilions.
Bucky's Nightmare deflates tensegrity to kick research into blob structures. It is a biomorph leather island with a soft inside that re-configures geometrically under pressure, all the better to give support to each part of the human body.
